Protecting Your Foundation

Your home is more than just an investment; it's the sanctuary for your loved ones. Safeguarding this cherished asset begins at its very foundation. We firmly believe in the importance of taking proactive measures to prevent any potential foundation damage.

The Texas heat poses a formidable threat to the integrity of your home's foundation, as it dries out and cracks the surrounding soil. This adverse effect triggers shifts in the foundation, potentially resulting in costly structural damages. Foundation repairs are notorious for their substantial expenses, and yet, they are frequently preventable through the prudent maintenance of soil moisture.

At Foundation Drip Shield, We install drip lines around the perimeter of your home and use a timer to slowly release water into the soil around your home. By consistently maintaining optimal moisture levels, our drip lines will
significantly extend the lifespan of your foundation, ultimately reducing the need for costly repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much will this cost me?
Prices start at $699 and will vary based on the homes' linear footage.
Is there any maintenance I need to do after the install?
The system is set on a timer so it's designed to operate on it's own. Once a year you will need to change out the batteries.
Will I still be able to use my spigot for my garden hose?
Yes, we install a Y splitter at the spigot in order to have dual access to the water line.
If my city says we are under water restrictions, should I turn the drip line off?
No, Drip lines are exempt from water restrictions because they use such little water. Since sprinkler systems are specifically targeted during water restrictions, that is a pivotal time to keep using the drip line to maintain a healthy soil around your home's foundation.
Why do you use Drip lines instead of soaker hoses?
Soaker hoses release water across a broad area, making it
challenging to control where the water goes, and potentially leading to over-saturation. Soaker hoses are also more susceptible to clogs in their small porous holes. Drip lines deliver water with pinpoint accuracy and with a slow controlled pressure, ensuring that only the areas around your foundation receive the proper amount of moisture.
What should I do to prepare for my install?
1. Clear the perimeter of your home of any debris.
2. Make sure pets will remain inside during the install.
3. Make sure your water spigot is in working order. If it is leaks, it will need to get replaced before the drip line installation. We can refer you to a plumber if needed.
What should I do in freezing temperatures?
If there is the threat of freezing temperatures...
Can I still cut my grass around the Drip Line?
Yes, as long as your mower isn't on the lowest setting, you should be able to mow over the line. Be cautious when using a weed-wacker near the hose.
What if my Drip Line stops working or gets damaged?
We guarantee our work and will come out for free maintenance calls. If there is damage to the hose caused by negligence, you will only be charged for the replacement of the damaged hose.
